Starting from the eggs at the incubation room of the associated farms, ECOCAIMAN controls the small caiman yougsters, feeding juvenils to reach the required width and then classify the animals for slaughtering, salt the skins and transport them to the tannery. Great care is taken to ensure that only the highest quality skins are selected to the required standards, measured and graded. They are kept in a cooler at low temperatures until they enter into production. The skins are then soaked with the necessary chemicals, in a series of technical programmed procedures, until they are soft enough and tested for dying. After dying and oiled, the skins are dried and applied seasoning chemicals to ensure that the skins will shine. The skins will now be glazed into desired glossy look, well polished, graded, measured again & tagged to arrange Packing List for export, satisfying 100% our clientís requirements. Besides, ECOCAIMAN has also developed the most important and functional water softening facility in the tanning industry of the country, re-using water and chemicals several times to throw back clean-treated water to the sewerage system of Bogota. ALL EXPORTED SKINS ARE CRUSTED & FINISHED ACCORDING TO VERY STRICT REQUIREMENTS BY EXPERIENCED TANNERS. QUALITY CONTROL IS A PRIORITY IN EVERY STEP.
